Yesterday I found out I was pregnant with #3 (I'm am very early). Almost no one knows since I'm not one to announce this type of thing until 12 weeks. I must admit I'm more nervous then I thought I would be. Actually I initially freaked out! Why? I'm not so sure. After all I've done this before. I know what to expect. I think what scared me is that it may all be too much. Being a great mom is at the very top of my priority list. I want to make sure I give each one of my kiddos 100% so I was (am) nervous that #3 will spread me so thin I wouldn't be able to. After all, I've often heard that the third baby often throws everything off balance.
Then last night I sat watching my two beautiful boys playing together. I thought "how lucky I am for a chance to add to my little family". I think it will be lovely to be a family of five.

On another note...how great is this maternity outfit. It is definitely on my list of must haves!!!

Ok, so I never mentioned how terribly wrong my budget idea went! Today I will admit it went really really really bad! I walked the line for a few days and then full blown spending sprees. I often think what could possibly be wrong with me that I can't seem to get by without shopping. But the truth is I really really love it. Does that make me a bad person? Is it bad to enjoy pretty new things. I don't think so... but the truth is I really do need to tone it down a bit. So today I'm going to rethink my plan to save. Obviously, going on a strict budget is not the key for me but really there must be a way. Don't you think?

Trader Joe's Stuffed Pork Chops

It's a goal of mine to put more "homemade" meals on the dinner table. Not an easy task when you log in tons of work and mommy hours. But I still aspire to be like my mom who seems to have a 3 course meal on the table every night of the week without ever breaking a sweat. For me however, cooking doesn't come quite as easily. So I turn to Trader Joe's. They have a ton of "prepared" meals. For example, I found these stuffed pork chops in the meat section. They were super simple to cook up. You just brown them on both sides in the frying pan and then throw them in the oven for twenty five minutes. I popped a 90 second bag of rice into the microwave and ta-da a home cooked meal. My son even asked if he could take leftovers for school tomorrow. Quite a compliment coming from the pickiest eater in the world!

Every single Fall for as long as I can remember I begin a hunt for the perfect pair of boots. So I bought these boots on Tuesday! Aren't they beautiful! To tell you the truth the picture does not do them justice! They look absolutely gorgeous on! But I returned them. So what's the problem you ask? They were $595.00. Am I freaking crazy? What was I thinking? To tell you the truth pre-baby/mortgage days I could have easily justified them! I would have divided the cost of the boots by the number of wears. If it came less then $5.00 a wear I would have kept them. When I brought them home I realized that I have no where to wear them. I thought maybe I could wear them to work. Not happening...I work 3 days a week in a very serious corporate environment...they definitely would not be appreciated. Maybe dinner or date night with the hubby but with young boys those occur few and far between. So they are back at the store for someone else to enjoy and love. That means I'm back on my hunt....

It's has been a while since I've posted last. Unfortunately I don't have any real excuse except that I'm feeling completely uninspired of late. I think it's because I have too much on my plate right now and I can't seem to focus on any one thing. So instead of doing anything productive I've been browsing the web for my fall wardrobe. I guess it's not really being unproductive since making a plan on what I need rather then impulse buying is part of the new me. However my work "to do" lists aren't getting checked off and that's bit of a problem. But these flats are a must buy. And for now that makes me happy so I guess that's something.

I am loving these items from American Eagle. But how old it too old? I don't want to be one of those people who dress way too young for their age. Although I do have an American Eagle Peacoat that I wear and still get lots of compliments from strangers. So maybe a couple of items would be ok......?

So today I started my month of living on a budget and purchasing strict necessities only. So far so good. First, I usually stop and get an iced coffee before work. Today however, I brought it from home. Usually on non-work days I brew my coffee at home but I end up throwing a way what's leftover in the pot. Yesterday I stored the leftovers in the fridge. Before I left today I grabbed my travel cup filled it with ice, added coffee and milk. Ta-da. Just as good as store bought and saved $3 bucks and 5 minutes on my commute. I also brought leftovers for lunch today. Perused the fridge and found some yummy chicken parm stuffed it in a roll and done. Moola saved: $7.00. It took me no time at all and I saved ten bucks. Not bad for the first day.
